HOMEMANDU Joint Filler Ready Mixed is a liquid based compound which is specially formulated for finishing Gypsum Board walls and ceilings joints. As a ready mix alternative it can also be used for skimming of entire Gypsum Board surface, to create a high quality glossy and smooth surface look. It is a suitable substrate for synthetic paint, oil paint or wall paper. Joint Filler Ready mixed is a pre mixed compound which can be applied from the bucket without mixing or using additional water

HOMEMANDU V-board is Non-asbestos, autoclaved, Fiber cement board manufactured using Hatcheck process and High Pressure Steam Curing (HPSC) technology. 3. HOMEMANDU Gyp Screw


HOMEMANDU Gypsum Board Screws are Fine Thread drywall screws which are designed for fixing Gypsum Board to metal studs, screws are threaded along their entire length and are self-threading, which allows them to bite into the plasterboards paper, pulling the board tight up to the underlying support. Special Bugle head with Phillips recess allows the screw to be driven without damaging the board surface and to ensure flush finish. The screws are phosphate-treated and thus provide the necessary corrosion protection.

Penetration Depth: Ensure a minimum penetration of 10mm into metal framing, through the board.

Installation of Dry Wall

This System in Nepal consists of Gypsum Boards screw fixed to light weight galvanized metal sections and joint finished for smooth level finish.




Steps

Mark the building position with an inked string.

Fix U-Track channel along center line of floors and ceiling at 60cm.

Cut C-Stud into correct dimensions, according to actual height.

Insert the studs laterally into the track.

Lift gypsum board 10mm over the floor, fix 12mm, TE board on one side.

Fill in the acoustic and thermal insulations.

Seal the other side with 12mm HOMEMANDU T.E gypsum board using 25mm drywall screws.

Finish the joint with HOMEMANDU GypCompound, hide the screw heads.

Then stick joint tape on the board, apply second coat of GypCompound, leave it for 24 hours for drying.

Grind the exposed compound with abrasive paper.

Ready for Painting or pasting wall papers.

GypPlaster



Gypsum Powder is processed through the plaster breaking, calcined and grinding aging System in Nepal. Gypsum rock is mined or quarried and then crushed. The crushed rock is then ground into a fine powder and heated to about 350 degrees F, driving off three fourths of the chemically combined water in a process called calcining. Gypsum selection and preparation (cleaning, classifying) are key factors to produce the best powder. HOMEMANDU GypPowder not only promises strength but also caters to aesthetic appeal by being whiter in color, with 98% purity level a fact that has been tested and approved.

Preparation of Gypsum Compound

Gypsum Compound is used as a first and second coat for gypsum board joints and fixing points. It is suitable for interior finishing where applications are free from water and away from high humidity conditions.




Steps

Joint Filler is a pre mixed only clean water should be added in a clean bucket.

Mix it with the recommended ration of 2 part of powder to 1 part of clean water.

Joint Filler Ready Mixed can be applied straight from the bucket without mixing or using additional water.

Apply first coat to fill gaps between the board joints with GypCompound Joint Filler or Joint Filler Ready Mixed.

Apply jointing Tape. Run the trowel progressively down the filled joint, squeezed out excess filler and entrapped air.

Apply second coat to fill the taper and remove any surplus filler and allow to set.

Apply the final coat of GypCompound. Allow the joint treatment to get dried out properly.

Lightly sand to remove any minor imperfections.

HOMEMANDU Gypsum Ceiling Tiles are manufactured with an incombustible gypsum core, lined with paper bonded on both sides. It comes in a wide variety of decorative vinyl laminates, which are recognized in providing aesthetic appearance along with the long lasting and low maintenance.

Moisture Resistance

HOMEMANDU Moisture Resistance Gypsum Board is an excellent choice for walls, partition and ceilings, which requires extra protection from moisture. By mixing wax and compound of silicone to the gypsum encased with green facing paper encased to withstand the effect of moisture and high humidity



Fire Resistance

HOMEMANDU Fire Resistance Gypsum Board is superb for walls, partitions and ceilings in the areas, which require special protection from fire. It has been specially developed and tested to meet various fire rated requirements. By adding noncombustible fiber to the gypsum and encased with pink glutinous compressed paper to enhance its strength. Fire Shield gypsum board is highly recommended for areas which requires special protection from fire such as: fire escape stair, computer rooms, elevators, and interior walls in the building.



Foil Backed

HOMEMANDU Foil Backed Gypsum Board is bonded with the special aluminum foil sheet at the back liner of the board to provide 95% reflection of thermal radiation, allowing comfort temperature level in the area. In Cold climates, this panel forms an effective vapor retarder for walls and ceiling when applied with foil surface next to framing on interior of the exterior wall. Foil backed Gypsum panels provide a water-vapor retarder to help prevent interior moisture from entering wall and ceiling spaces.

Types of edges

HOMEMANDU Gypsum Board comes in two different types of edges, which are designed for particular type of work. Using the suitable type of edge provides better appearance and looks.



Square Edge (S.E)

 

Suitable for Ceilings and interior Walls, requires no jointing.



Tapered Edge (T.E)

 

Suitable for Ceilings that need smooth level finish and for interior walls, requires jointing. Tapered edges give more space for bedding the joint filler and tape. As a result a seamless fine finish is achieved at joints.




Limitation

Gypsum board is not recommended for use in areas exposed to extreme or continuous moisture such as saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pool




Storage

Gypsum Board should be kept in a cool and dry area. Put support at every 50cm to prevent the board from touching the floor directly. The storeroom should allow ventilation.

Installation of Wall Lining

This System in Nepal is most practical and simple type which comprises of a galvanized steel primary support channel, secondary channel and high quality Gypsum Board which provide a smooth finish ceiling without joints.




Independent Metal Frame System in Nepal



Steps

Determine cavity depth required and mark lines to floor and ceiling to indicate positioning perimeter channel.

Fix expansion bolt 6mm to perimeter channel, at 60cm center.

Mark lines on the wall at 60cm intervals to indicate fixing bracket center.

Mark horizontal lines at 80cm center to indicate fixing bracket position.

Fix bracket with expansion bolt 6mm.

Cut channel section to the height of lining.

Friction fit channel into perimeter channel and set inside 2 legs of bracket.

Fix 12mm thickness HOMEMANDU Gypsum Boards to all framing members at 30cm center using drywall screws.

Finish board joints, with joint taping hide screw heads with HOMEMANDU GypCompound and leave it for 24 hours for drying.

Grind the exposed compound with abrasive paper.

Ready for Painting or pasting wall papers.




Adhesive Dabs System in Nepal



Steps

Determine the highest spots on the wall and plumb position to the ceiling and floor. Transfer this dimension to the room corners. Mark all with vertical lines at 1.22m interval.

Mix drywall adhesive with clean water accordingly.

Apply a continuous fillet of adhesive to the perimeter of the wall through the vertical lines. From dabs 50mm to 80mm wide and about 250mm long.

Positions dabs of adhesive in three vertical rows. Apply six dabs a row before placing the first board.

Position the board, ivory face against the dabs, with the bottom edge resting on a small piece of Gypsum Board.

Tap the board back firmly using a straightedge until it aligns with the ceiling and floor lines.

Finish board joints, with joint taping hide screw heads with HOMEMANDU GypCompound and leave it for 24 hours for drying.

Installation of Suspended Ceiling

This System in Nepal is most practical and simple type which comprises of a galvanized steel primary support channel, secondary channel and high quality Gypsum Board which provide a smooth finish ceiling without joints.




Steps

Determine the required ceiling level and mark the position of steel angle.

Use gunpowder nailing to secure the wire hanger on the ceiling.

Combine the wire hangers with the channel bracket to suspend the main channel.

Tie the furring channel to the main channels by the wire coupling clips.

Screw up the G.I.Angle on the wall.

Adjust all levels and alignments of the whole concealed System in Nepal precisely.

Fix the HOMEMANDU Gypsum Board with gypsum screw spacing 24cm on the surface of furring channel and G.I.Angle.

Finish the joint with HOMEMANDU GypCompound hide the screw heads and allow to set/dry before painting.
